<description>Hi Luis, thanks for your comments. We to find the service from lenovo both in the US, Canada and the Europe to be outstanding. To loose you to Apple, now that would be a disaster! From what we have seen and the feedback we are getting, the general consensus of opinion is that Windows 7 is a very good operating system.

As for the W500 versus the MacBook Pro? No contest, its ThinkPad W500 every time! The only real contest here is between the ThinkPad W500 or the W700.

<description>I have a Lenovo T60p laptop and this is my third Lenovo laptop (after a T21 and a T30). The Lenovo service is more than good, it is awesome! , excellent! I have minors problems with the keyboard and I called technical support...in less than 24 hours the keyboard was here (Edmonton, Canada and it was shipped from Ontario).

I am planning to change to the W500, I have two concerns: there is not a choice for a bigger 7200 rpm hard drive (like 500GB for the Mac BookPro); my other concern is the catastrophic choice of Windows Vista (or 7). As an IT professional with more than 20 years of experience I can responsibly say that Windows 7 (I installed the RC version) is not a good option in spite of the improvements of speed and performance. I still get the &quot;not responding&quot; message.

I am seriously considering the Mac BookPro 15-inch with the optional 3.06GHz processor. Using Parallels, I could have both worlds. In addition, the new Snow Leopard OS from Apple will concentrate its features in performance rather than functionality, THAT is the way to go! Too bad Microsoft has not been a responsible company with its products.
