Stunning new X120e for 2011. Lenovo ThinkPad X120e Review. The ThinkPad X100e was released to rave review this time last year, but it had its flaws. Now it doesn’t! Battery life was not really good enough, heat output was to high and Lenovo omitted an HDMI out.

The new ThinkPad X120e puts all of that right. The first ThinkPad to be released with the new AMD Fusion E-Series Accelerated Processing Unit (APU), the X120e performs like a little demon and combines great graphics processing with 6 hours battery life with the 6 cell battery. All in a package starting at less than $400 in the US.
The AMD Fusion Accelerated Processing Units (APUs) is a low power mobile architecture that combines the CPU with the Graphics Chip (GPU) on a single energy efficient piece of silicon.
That should give the ThinkPad X120e enhanced 1080p HD playback together with 65 percent overall faster graphics performance and more processing muscle when running business applications.
To quote Dilip Bhatia, Vice President, ThinkPad Marketing and Product Operations, Lenovo. “We’ve optimized the ThinkPad X120e to not only give businesses an excellent experience creating and consuming multimedia content, but we’ve also made key improvements to an area that has plagued laptops: battery life.”
The ThinkPad X120e will give you longer battery life – up to 30 percent longer – for more than six hours and meets Energy Star 5.0 specifications and carries the EPEAT Gold mark. So no more hot knee’s and loosing the battery after a couple of hours! Oh, and did we mention that the X120e has an HDMI? Hurray!

what will be the price of x120e with following spec?
- E-350
- 4 GB Ram
- SSD
- 6 Cell
Are there any information about this?
No firm pricing yet! We are all waiting!
considering that for $399 , ur getting a single core, 3-cell. 1gig of ram …so i would upgrade to that would be around $500 plus.
I consider this extremely good value even at $500-600 – You get a machine with cababilities and build quality similar to that of the Macbook Air, plus the ability to upgrade for less money!
I will consider buying one of these when they become available.
i am also looking for this thinkpad… anybody, any idea about when it will launch in india? what will be the price in INR?
No Idea on India date manmath, I think everybody is waiting for the ThinkPad 120e the world over. Any of our friends at Lenovo India help manmath?
How did they get it right ?. No backlit keyboard? My sony viao TZ core 2 duo has just died and it was 11 inch machine with built in DVDwriter… so i go and buy an external dvd writer? I might as well as buy a 13inch vaio Z then
Backlit keyboard? This is a ThinkPad Hussein, not a toy, I think your comment says it all. ‘My sony viao TZ core 2 duo has just died’
Thinkpads dont just ‘die’
